MRS. REE’S PERILLA LEAVES & CABBAGE

This is how it all started. Jowa Jowa was first inspired through this dish by our friend’s mom who expressed her love through cooking! Chong Soon Ree has gone to Heaven on 5/7/23, but always in the hearts of all those who love and miss her!

Directions:

Perilla Leaves - Spread Jowa Jowa Korean Chili on each perilla leaf. You can stack on top of each other as you spread the chili. Place stacked layers in a microwaveable bowl with about a tablespoon of water at the bottom of the bowl (to create steam). Microwave for approximately 45 seconds to 1 minute or a bit longer to your taste. Serve with rice.

Cabbage - Cut Cabbage into approximately 3” squares. Boil enough water to submerge the cabbage. Add cabbage once water starts boiling for 30 seconds. Drain and rinse under cold water. Serve with rice and Jowa Jowa Korean Chili.
